Open Access Policy

IJEHS follows Open Access as a publishing model. This model provides immediate, worldwide, barrier-free access to the full text of research articles without requiring a subscription to the articles published in this journal. In this model, the publication costs are covered by the Author / Authors Institution or Research Funds. Published material is freely available to all interested online readers. At the same time, authors who publish in IJEHS retain the copyright of their article. All articles are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution Liscense 4.0.

Peer-review Policy

The manuscript will be reviewed by at least two suitable experts in respective subject area. The reports of both the reviewers will be considered when deciding on acceptance/revision or rejection of a manuscript. Editor-In-Chief will make the final decision, based on reviewer’s comments. IJEHS utilizes a double-blind peer-review process.

Plagiarism Policy

IJEHS has a very strict policy against plagiarism. The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others that this has been appropriately cited or quoted. IJEHS uses iThenticate software to check plagiarism of accepted articles.

  • If plagiarism is discovered throughout the peer review process, the manuscript may be rejected.
  • If plagiarism is discovered after the manuscript has been published, the COPE rules will be followed, and a correction may be requested, or the manuscript may be withdrawn.

In accordance with COPE's Core Practices, the following ethical issues are also read in IJEHS:

  • Taking misconduct allegations seriously, both before and after publication.
  • Clear policies for authorship and contributorship, as well as dispute resolution processes, are required.
  • Complaints and appeals (detailed procedure for handling complaints against journal staff, editorial board, or publisher);
  • Clear definitions and processes for handling conflicts of interest for authors, reviewers, and editors, both before and after publication.
  • Data and reproducibility policies include encouraging the use of reporting guidelines and registering clinical trials and study designs in accordance with standard practice.
  • Ethical oversight includes policies on consent to publication, publication on vulnerable populations, ethical research with animals and human subjects, handling confidential data, and ethical business/marketing practices.
  • Clearly describe intellectual property policies, including copyright and publishing licenses, as well as any associated costs for authors and readers. Clarify policies on prepublication, plagiarism, and redundant/overlapping publication.
  • Peer review processes should be transparently described and managed, with policies in place to address conflicts of interest, appeals, and disputes. Training for editors and reviewers is also necessary.
  • Allow for post-publication discussions and corrections (e.g., letters to the editor), as well as mechanisms to correct, revise, or retract articles.

Competing Interest Statement

When a writer for a medical magazine has financial or other relationships that affect their decisions, work, or manuscript, it is called a conflict of interest (COI). COI can take many different forms, including ties to money, scholastic pursuits, interpersonal connections, political or religious convictions, and institutional affiliations. The IJEHS follows the WAME policy statement while handling COI. If any, each author should disclose their conflict of interest before submitting their work. In addition, before accepting a submission for handling and review, editors and reviewers are asked to disclose their conflict of interest (COI). The manuscript procedure will not involve reviewers or editors who have a conflict of interest. Every author's title page must include a statement of all competing interests. Self-citation Policy

IJEHS has a substantial policy against the self-citations of the authors. The authors should ensure that they have used their own references by maximum of 15% of all references in the article.

Retraction Policy

IJEHS will consider retracting an article if it meets COPE's Retraction Guidelines, including:

  • The results are obviously inaccurate because of glaring mistakes (such as data fabrication, image manipulation, and experimental or mathematical errors);
  • Plagiarism;
  • Prior release of the results without obtaining consent for replication, citing earlier references, or providing an explanation (e.g., redundant publication);
  • Reporting unethical research;
  • The author(s) did not disclose their conflict of interest;
  • Self-citation.

Copy-right Policy

All the articles published in IJEHS are distributed under a creative commons license (CC By 4.0). The journal allows the author(s) to hold the copyright of their work. It means that each author is able to copy, remix, redistribute, adapt, and transmit the published articles in any medium or format under its terms and conditions provided that the sources are appropriately cited. At the submission of an article, authors must declare their agreement to adhere to the open-access Creative Commons License based on which they reserve ownership of their articles' copyright. The license is aimed to ensure that the article will be accessible and can be indexed in as many scientific archives as possible. The PDF files and abstracts of all articles published in the journal are accessible free of charge to everyone immediately after publication.

IJEHS allows the authors to self-archive pre-print, post-print and publisher’s version of their article.
